We receive no funding from National or Local Government.
To set up each new listener with the player, USB sticks, and plastic pouches costs about £70. Fortunately, Royal Mail makes no charge for delivering or returning the pouches each week. This is part of the ‘Articles for the Blind’ scheme.
In addition there is the cost of equipment in the recording studios and rental costs of the premises. This is about £3000 per year. We rely entirely on your generous donations and our own fundraising events.
